Saturday’s Cooper-Young Beerfest close to another sell out

Early sellout is expected for milestone fundraiser benefiting the Cooper-Young Community Association

Memphis, Tenn. (Oct, 16 2019) — The Cooper-Young Beerfest is close to selling out this year’s event before festival day, something which has become a tradition. Celebrating a decade of sips and suds, the festival is coming back even bigger this year with new breweries, a new top-tier sponsor, and commemorative merchandise, all to raise money for the Cooper-Young Community Association.

This year’s Beerfest takes place Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1 to 5 p.m., and will feature 35 regional breweries and two homebrew clubs in the Midtown Autowerks parking lot at 795 S. Cooper Street. Tickets are currently $50 at

The festival has experienced huge growth since 400 people gathered to sample beers from eight breweries and two home-brew clubs at the 2010 inaugural Beerfest, held in the Galloway United Methodist Church parking lot. Thanks to a cap on attendees, the requirement that every brewery send an employee, and a commitment to no distractions from the beer, Cooper-Young Beerfest is a regular favorite of attendees and breweries alike.
